Welcome

Latest Covid Update.

Due to ongoing Government restrictions, the Billington and Langho Parish Council is still not holding normal face-to-face meetings. Instead it is holding monthly Zoom meetings.

The next meeting of the Parish Council is to be held on Monday 26th April 2021.

If you wish to contact the Parish Council please use the contact information provided under the ‘CONTACT’ tab of this Home Page. There is time allocated at the start of each meeting for public involvement, so please do not hesitate to contact us. Recent raised issues have centred around traffic issues.

In the last year the Council has created a Facebook page (surprisingly entitled ‘Billington and Langho Parish Council’!) and this is the place to find the most up to date information and news.

We do hope that all in the Parish are keeping well, stay safe.

From the Clerk and all B&L Parish Councillors.

Welcome to our website.

Welcome to the Billington and Langho Parish Council website providing you with information about the communities of Billington, Langho, Old Langho, Brockhall and York in the Ribble Valley and the activities of the Parish Council.

Parish Councils are the tier of Local Government closest to the people. The next tier of Local Government for Billington and Langho is Ribble Valley Borough Council and then Lancashire County Council. As it is the authority closest to the people, parish councils are invariably the first place people will go with concerns or ideas.  For this reason they are a vital part of any community

On this website we have tried to outline the roles and services provided by the Parish Council along with the details of our councillors.

The dates of future meetings are available on the website and also copies of the agendas and minutes. Other organisations based within the Parish may also be found here.

The contact list which is displayed on this site provides information not only about the Parish Council but also includes contact information for other local government services providers and access to a service for reporting highways and street lighting problems online.
