Billington & Langho

The Parish of Billington and Langho is well served by Langho railway station.

The station serves Langho , Billington, Old Langho and York and is situated in Langho Ordnance Survey grid reference SD705344.

There are limited car park spaces for rail users on the nearby Indian Restaurant – The Royal Taj – car park clearly marked for rail users. There are waiting shelters , platform seats, information screens, a long line  public address system and community notice boards. The station areas are looked after by the volunteer group Friends of Langho Station (under the control of Ribble Valley Rail), and Langho in Bloom volunteers keep the station approaches spotless. The views from the station platforms towards Longridge Fell and Pendle Hill are inspiring.

The village of Langho boasts one pub, the Petre Arms, three hotels – Mytton Fold Farm Hotel ,The Foxfield Hotel and the Michelin-starred Northcote Manor – as well as a village Indian restaurant The Royal Taj.

The nearest phone boxes to the station are in the centre of the village adjacent to the old Post Office and a second adjacent to the Petre Arms pub.
